University of Kent
The University of Kent, the UK’s European university, is one of the country’s most dynamic universities. Established in 1965, it now has over 19,000 students studying at its various campuses including Canterbury, Medway and Tonbridge in the picturesque south-east of England and continental-European sites in Athens, Brussels, Paris, and Rome.
Kent provides an excellent education delivered by world-class researchers. Our reputation is confirmed by our success in the Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2014; we are ranked 17th in the UK for research intensity.
We have been shortlisted for ‘University of the Year’ by both the Times Higher Education (THE) Awards and The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2016. We are ranked in the top 25 by The Guardian University Guide 2017, and 23rd in The Complete University Guide 2017. In the 2015 National Student Survey we achieved the fifth equal highest score in the ‘overall satisfaction’ category.
